Ten years ago, I was sleeping 16 hours a day. Sometimes it was so bad — you could light my room on fire and I wouldn’t be able to get up.
I had tried breathwork. Therapy. Embodiment. Nothing worked. Now add the chronic pain of Fibromyalgia and an empty bank account on top — a recipe for hell on earth.
It wasn’t until my mentor said: ‘Ashley, what you’re feeling is repressed anger.’ That changed everything. I learned to release my emotions instead of repressing them — and built the method I wish I’d had from the start.

I remember waking up at 6am, thinking I’m going insane. I remember the hospital nurse I talked to one hour later saying “It’s not schizophrenia — it’s a panic disorder.” And I remember thinking that I couldn’t go on living like this.
I realised that the fear in my panic was teaching me something I needed to learn. I wasn’t healing my emotions. I was healing my relationship to them.
That insight changed the direction of my life. Over the last 7 years, I’ve trained and coached 600+ people in body-focused processes — and became the lead teacher and co-founder of the Emotional Release Academy.
